Principal's Message

Dear Mariposa Families, 

I am thrilled to welcome you to a new and exciting year at Mariposa Avenue Elementary! My name is Jessica Graber and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal. It is with great enthusiasm and genuine excitement that I join this vibrant and caring school community, and I look forward to getting to know each of you as we begin the 2025–2026 school year together.

Not only do I have the privilege of serving as your principal, but I am also a proud resident of the Citrus Heights community. As both an educator and a neighbor, I care deeply about the success of our students and the strength of our school-family partnerships. It means so much to me to be serving the very community I call home.

At Mariposa Avenue, we are committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can grow, achieve, and thrive. While this is my first year as principal at Mariposa Avenue Elementary, I bring with me over 12 years of experience in education as a teacher and school leader, and I’m passionate about creating a positive, inclusive and engaging environment where every student feels seen, heard, and supported. 

As your new principal, I am excited to partner with you to ensure a smooth and successful school year for all students. I believe that strong relationships between school and home are essential to student success, and I look forward to getting to know each of you and your children throughout the year. Please feel free to find me around campus to say hello or discuss any questions, concerns or ideas you may have, I am here to listen and collaborate.
